Introduction to Glassblowing- Two Day Intensive 13th & 14th June

£375.00

If you already lampwork with solid glass, or have taken a class with me and want to dive deeper into blowing glass with hollow tube at the torch, then this class is for you! This is a two day intensive course for beginners and intermediate lampworkers to learn the fundamentals of blowing with borosilicate glass. We will start with the health and safety, and learning how to work with your flame, creating different heating environments for working with hollow glass tube. We will dedicate plenty of time to lean and practice the fundamental skill needed to blow glass- pulling points. From this you will then learn how to blow, transfer and open up your hollow forms. By the end of day one you will have learned to create your very own, unique drinking glass. In day two we will expand on this, learning how to join individual blown forms, and finishing by making a beautiful candle holder. Each technique will be demonstrated by Laura, you will then have her full support throughout your making. Due to the size of the studio, places for this course are limited to four people, so book your place now!
