Join me in my home garden studio in Reading, UK, for a two person lesson where you will learn how to blow your very own glass Christmas bauble which will be the star of the show for years to come on your Christmas tree. During this lesson you will learn how to sculpt and blow glass using a blow torch at over 1200°c using the lampworking process. No experience required. This is the perfect festive activity for friends and family!

Location: The studio is based in Mortimer Common, near Reading. Exact location will be shared with you by email when you book your lesson.

Arriving by Public Transport: From London, you can choose to take a direct train from Paddington to Reading, and an onward 12 minute train to Mortimer. There are also trains from Waterloo to Basingstoke, and onward 12 minute train to Mortimer. We are about 1.4 miles from the train station. Alternatively there is a Reading bus service which will take you from beside the train station to moritmer, look for the Lime 2, or 2a bus service, please visist the Reading Bus website for planning your journey.

Arriving by car: Mortimer is very easy to get to by car, and is only 10 minutes from junction 11 on the M4. There is parking at the studio, and extra free on road parking outside.

Receiving your finished piece: Please note your finished glass piece will have to be annealed overnight to remove stress and strengthen it. It may be picked up or mailed out to you from the next day. Please select the appropriate option in the delivery section of your booking. To arrange collection of your piece, please contact me directly at info@lauraquinndesign.com.

Timing your Lesson: Please ensure you arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of your lesson time. Unfortunately due to other bookings, if you are later than 15 minutes from the start time of your lesson, this will result in the cancellation with no refund.

About your instructor: Laura Quinn is a multi-award-winning glass artist who creates unique glass sculptures and functional objects using a various glassmaking techniques including glassblowing and lampworking. She is passionate about sharing the magical techniques of glassmaking with others. With over 12 years experience of working with glass, and 6 years of experience teaching, you are sure to get the most out of your lesson.

Cancellation Policy: To cancel or reschedule please contact me at least 7 days in advance of your scheduled lesson. If you cancel within 7 days of the scheduled session will not receive a refund.
